Congress is the de facto status quo controllers of our country. They’re responsible for the spending, debt, and laws that make our lives hell.

We actually have it pretty good here. There is no nation on earth that has it better. But, our leaders are pathetic lying con artists.

GOP leadership has to be gutted. Cornyn going down is a good start.
Thune has to be primaried and lose in 2028. It is imperative for the future of the Republican Party.

We the people that are responsible for those GOP Senators must vote for better congressional representation.
Folks hate to hear this because everyone would rather blame anything other than the real problem, which are the voters that put them in their positions.

Correct. Primary voting turnout is pathetic. For everything that gets blamed on Trump he at least gets people out to vote for him.

People need to vote them out in the primaries and we need to win more senate seats . If republicans move out of California and NY a little faster then we could have a shot 60 in the senate.

You must stop thinking of them as “leaders”. They are NOT. They are your legislative representative. Elect someone else.

The parties that nominate them select them because they’re captured.
Unless we can conquer the county and state level GOP it won’t change and it only matter to a degree who we vote for after the primary.

Maybe a couple but I think it’s more… whatever they perceive will bring them more money and power, they are in.
If big donors and Congressional leadership tell them, “our PAC is stacked and we’re trying to figure out whose campaigns we want to contribute to,” and “if you vote with us, you’ll get a committee Chair appointment” etc etc.

On a personal level, if you have uncontrollable debt that you will NEVER even attempt to bring under control you can look like you are doing ok, too, for a while.
