MARCO RUBIO FROM THE TOP ROPE: Reporter: How do you feel about the Iranian Foreign Minister accusing the US and Israel of genocide? Marco Rubio: The Iranian? He's an expert in genocide. They've killed thousands. Every problem in the Middle East is Iran. Hezbollah? Iran. Shia militias destroying and threatening Iraq? Iran. Hamas? Iran. Houthis? Iran. Assad in Syria? Iran. Everywhere you turn, they're behind all of it.

Iran is the swizzle stick of death and destruction...its bloodlust is over the top and has been the source of agitation for decades. No one nation, not even Iraq under SH, was this bankrupt in regional instability

IRAN is a huge problem for the entire world!
They must be changed!

And like he did in 2016, he will earn my vote in the GOP primary. Rubio 28!

I remain skeptical about this war because of unclear objectives and cost/benefit concerns. But the one thing we got right is that we are fighting the right enemy. Is it the right time or manner? I don’t know. But Iran has been a scourge in the region for decades.

The most important part: “The Middle East problems.” Why are we involved again? Almost everything we’ve done in that part of the world has made things worse.

I agree but if you don’t make sure there is a regime change then we’ve potentially made it worse.

Iran's leadership are similar to the Marxist Dems here in the US. Both offer NOTHING other than death, disruption, and division. Neither offer any good, orderly direction that has potential for goodness, growth, or freedom.

Regime change has already happened.
Iran now has a gay leader who loved his western lifestyle before he became next in line, lost a limb, and found himself in a coma.
We change leaders every 4-8 years. Clinton was different from Carter. Obama was different from Clinton.
Biden was different from Obama (especially on immigration). Despite coming from the same religious cult, they were all different.
New leaders bring change.
But if the point you attempted to make is we need the people of Iran to feel they have enough support to rise up and impose change of a greater magnitude to reject Sharia law, and embrace all the freedoms we enjoy, sign me up for wanting that too. But is it realistic?

I think skepticism is good and healthy.
In history, the only good war is a victorious one. And there are always roadblocks and obstacles in the way to victory.
quote:
unclear objectives
No offense. People unclear of the stated objectives are being obtuse.

cost/benefit concerns
This is fair. And this is why the only good war is a victorious one.
Iraq achieved objectives. But no one in their right mind justifies the financial cost nor the loss of life.
And that is the correct argument against the war (even if you disregard the malicious pretext).

They don't care. If Trump hates him, they hate him. If Trump loves him, they love him. No critical thinking necessary.

If there was no oil/gas in that region we would give 2 s#its about any of it.

After the outright slaughter of their own do they not see the sheer lunacy in making this remark? Iran/Persia's history is a long one of chaos more often than not mostly due to its ever changing political scene depending on who or what group decides its time for a change. Additionally they long for a return to their empire status much like Mussolini/Hitler/Stalin. Iran is the ever present "bully" sorely needing an attitude adjustment before it is responsible for a world catastrophe that may have no winners.

Ehhhh. I'd say them and Israel are probably about equal.
