Contractor picked the perfect day to do this. Needed to be done for years, but why when you have a concert and 2 on campus events today. Not good planning IMO.

That sort of thing has to be a requirement for the city or state, depending on the road.

Living in Covington, the entire stretch of 190 was repaved at night, over about a month causing no traffic issues, no lanes closed etc. Why arent all done like that? No Fing idea.

Don’t hate the work, hate the city for giving a deadline in the bid.

Highland north of LSU isn’t a primary artery to the football stadium.

If you drove down there and nothing was happening I bet you’d be on here saying “it’s a beautiful day out and this construction is just sitting here. Not a worker in sight!”

That’s the REAL Louisiana way. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I was in Bakersfield for work. One morning I got up and the entire 6 miles to work they had construction barrels out on the 4 lane highway. I assumed it would be weeks of construction.

When I got off of work and drove home they had one whole lane of 6 miles completely black topped. On the way to work the next morning the entire 6 miles of the other side was done.

It ended up taking them 2 full days to blacktop a 4 lane highway for 6 miles. In Louisiana that’s easily a 6 month project.

Just shocked they didn’t wait till the first home LSU football game . Doing it during the Summer when school is out would make too much sense.

Bitch and complain when they don’t repave roads.

You think the concerts were planned before the road construction?
