One of these definitely started this chain of events.

It’s crazy to imagine if Nuss doesn’t get injured, LSU goes 10-2 makes the playoffs, BK isn’t fired, Woody isn’t fired and Lane is at Florida

Props to Aggie fans too for playing their part with the embarrassing final death nail of Kelly.

IDK what was first or more important. Maybe Nuss injury for the future. Underwood helped in the short term for last years transfer portal though.

And if woody was still retained, WW wouldn't have come back

Neither.

The choosing to make Joe Sloan the OC was the initial domino.

Kelly wasn't aware enough that money matters more than relationships in recruiting. That's why he chose Sloan over Denbrock. He thought it was the piece to get him Underwood. It's wasn't.

Sloan was horrible last season. With a better offense last season LSU likely beats Ole Miss and Vandy. Even with a less than 100% Nussmeier

Underwood because it upset LSU boosters off big time so they all accumulated together and vowed they wouldn't let it happen again. This why you getting so much collectively spending right now.

Funny thing is they may end up regretting this

THIS. Joe Sloan was downright PITIFUL at being an OC, and BK was clueless as to how to field a competent Offense. We had a ton of talent, yet could not do shite with it under him. Things have a way of working themselves out.

This.

Which I guess means that the initial initial domino was Underwood committing to us in the first place, because if he doesn't, it's unlikely Sloan is promoted when Denbrock left. Kelly might have actually hired a capable OC and still be here.

So then, if you really think about it, the original initial initial original domino was Underwood being born.

I rewatched his presser last night. Just wanted to look back at where it all started. The look on his face, the non-combative answers (which up to this point in the season he was very combative reporters), and just the general vibe tells me he knew it was over

That’s the way the world turns sometimes. If a Drew Brees passes his in Miami then Sagan likely never goes to Bama, and LSU wins a couple more championships.

What? How can you forget our shitty OL? Our shitty OC? Our receiver drops? Our weak soft mentality as a program?

Nuss’ injury was the least of our problems. And even with him healthy we prob finish 9-3 at best. Would’ve been basically a repeat of 2024.
