Anyone know much about them? Looks like a bunch of 6’0” guys. How are they selected? Do they travel with the team for tournaments? Are they paid? Just curious.

Idk but I wouldn't mind a few of the girls trying to box me out under the basket with a booty bump. I'd definitely hold my ground as hard as I could.. lmao

The Dream Team. I dont know if they get paid but doubt they travel. Mulkey was trying to get them National championship rings the year they won it, dont know if she was able to get those for them.

I know at least two of them are taller, 6' 3" or taller.

Guy I work with did this at aTm, he said there was a small stipend and they got to use all of the athletics facilities, nutrition and such.

Interesting. Guess you can swing by the REC and let the regular guys back down on you also…

This thread may take a weird turn.

They are not paid but they do get to travel with the team during tournament time. I believe they hold tryouts every year .

My old roommate was on this squad back in 2006. Don't remember much about what went into it other than he was a just a decent rec level guy that was a much better golfer than he was a basketball player
He was right around 6' to 6'1"

You want big booty males boxing you out under the basket? Checks out!

My cousin did it 10+ years ago. Was about 6'3 and was a former lower level D1 player, who after one year of playing lower level ball, wanted to just come be a student at LSU.
It may have changed, and I may be slightly off on the details, but I believe they were given a small stipend and afforded some of the athlete benifits (maybe access to Cox Center, athlete dining, team gear, facility access, better ticket access).
I do not believe they traveled with the team at that time. I would imagine Mulkey takes care of them better than Fargas did.
He did tell me (a pretty humble guy mind you) that he was by far the best player on the floor when he would practice with them
He would tear up the UREC.

Plus if the team wins a championship or has a player that becomes somewhat famous, its a legit cool story to be able to say you scrimmaged against that team / player. Better than just being able to say you played rec league ball in college

Pretty sure she paid for their rings herself.

So liking a girls arse against me is the same as liking a guy's arse because they both play basketball???
If that's all you need to be gay, more power to you buddy. Not judging..)

I wonder if any of the guys could grow their hair long, stuff a bra, and pass for a female? Could be a real help in a tight game! Might be finally able to beat South Carolina!

There are men playing against the women's team. I was saying I wouldn't mind being one of those guys. But of course if you're gay you're probably assumed I meant I wanted to be playing against the guys. Not surprising

I was talking about playing against the girls. Kind of worried that you assumed I wanted to play against the guys instead. Maybe that's just where you naturally went when you imagined it.. I don't know. I'm not judging you
