I wasnt an absolute but i definitely thought it was unlikely he was ever coming back until a year ago when i heard from another lsu coach that our governor tried to do this last year

I never imagined we would somehow get a guy we fired back. Thought that bridge was burnt. Thankfully CBK bailed us out by sucking so hard that the whole athletic dept got scorched

I tried to tell people on the CC board that with Rousse being hired, Shroyer on deck to be hired that Will Wade would be numero-uno after the football HC search and basketball season wrapped up. I got downvoted to oblivion.

Lafayette is too far for me to have basketball season tickets. Driving nearly an hour, then having to deal with the bridge traffic is too tough on an old man

I don't know if I said he's never coming back, but I thought it was a pipe dream. Let's not forget how ugly it got, with Wade refusing to speak with the Board etc. I know we cleaned house at LSU, but I'm kinda surprised Wade wanted back into the mix after everything.

On another note, I saw Saint posting on another Wade thread earlier. Looks like he was reinstated. Baseball championship back on.

Wade has unfinished business at LSU.
McNeese did Wade a huge solid giving him an opportunity. Wade did McNeese a huge solid by building that program up, and putting in a buyout that NC State had to pay.
All of those people are now at LSU. He knows, without a doubt, he will be taken care of at LSU.
