Lane and Football will get the most and for obvious reasons.
With Wade basketball will now be getting even more.
WBB will get a fair amount as long as Mulkey is here
Jay could stay here 20 more years and be a generational type coach like Skip was. Just needs more funds to stay at the top.

He doesn’t have some independent donors to keep him afloat?

Also Mulkey won’t be here too much longer imo

It will have to come from baseball boosters

Jay had elite recruiting and transfer portal classes, by the rankings. We spent a lot of money. Transfers just haven't worked out...yet.

Why is everyone so concerned about NIL with baseball? Baseball is the one sport we don’t have to be concerned with tbh.

If we got wade, you can bet womens basketball had to give funds for that. Mulkey prob wont be here more than another year and we are probably pulling funds from her program to help wade

Its been reported that baseball actually had a smaller budget this year.

Because our baseball fanbase is as soft as Charmin.

I don't know if that's true, but what I do know is true is the recruiting and transfer portal classes were both considered top 3 in the country. We spent enough. We just missed on evaluations on some transfers, assuming they don't turn the corner.

Baseball already gets its less than 5% of rev share and the rest comes from private donors, does it not? I don’t think basketball will eat into that pipeline if rev share distribution remains the same and this alleged NIL commitment we have for basketball is privately sourced

I do believe baseball should get a bigger portion of the revenue sharing pie. JJ should not have to worry about funding

This isnt like the past where schools didnt really give a sh!t about baseball. Every team in the SEC is actually putting effort and resources into baseball plus you have to be able to compete with MLB signing bonuses.

Everything I’ve seen has us only behind Tennessee in NIL spending this season. Not sure how accurate those reports are because I don’t think anything official is released regarding that. I don’t think money was the issue. I think timing and portal needs vs portal talent at those positions of need was the biggest issue. A lot of the high end guys were OF and catchers and we were pretty set there.

Football and basketball are the money makers. Especially football. Make those both top tier programs and they will float all the other sports and even the academics of the school. Look at Alabama pre and post Saban for reference.

I thought we were going to remove all NIL from MBB and give it to football.

That’s the old way of thinking. NIL is part of college athletics. Baseball is no different in that.

I have zero doubt that baseball will be just fine and will continue to be the gold standard for college baseball. There is no way in hell in this era the administration lets baseball fall below any other program. Whatever the top of the rest of college baseball is doing LSU will be right there with them.
