This is a solid option if you want a very budget friendly launch monitor - $200 no sub fees. Not getting all the face angles etc but it's super solid if those are too pricey - but getting some solid data to have some measurement ability

Assuming you get fitted for your clubs and you have your lofts and lies and spin dialed in by a professional, what more do you need besides carry and total distance? If you can figure out your carry distance for clubs you can start playing strategic golf which will lower your hcp immensely.

How can it accurately give you carry distance numbers without measuring spin? Is this LM tracking the entire flight of the golf ball?

Not as much help as it claims without launch and soon be available to users. It has to have those details though in their algorithm which is odd that they wouldn’t make them accessible.

It’s a radar based system so basically yes. It’ll be much better outdoors than indoors.

I saw those advertised at the PGA show in Orlando. Looks very easy to use.

I’ve got a Rhapsodo MLM, and it’s not difficult but does require the phone as well. Simpler is better IMO

I was about to pull the trigger on the r10....may get this one instead and save $200. The range i use is multilevel and this would really help with good carry distances

I've got the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro. Honestly, I'm about to sell it. I wanted all the features I could afford. But now that I've got access to a range at my club. I'd much rather go hit there. I will use it when I get a new club and really want to see specific distance. But once I've got that club ranged, I don't ever feel like setting it all up. If I were to go back, I'd get the simplest device available that I could easily take with me to confirm distances at the range. Just for those 175+ yard shots that it's hard to see exact carry.

Honestly at this point I’m more interested in on the course data.

Let’s face it, that’s what matters. We use range finder to get the yardage, we’ve tested on the range what our yardages are.

Why not get info where it really counts quickly?

Agreed-and i get to play as a single on some slower days where i'd imagine i could take the few extra seconds to throw this down before taking the shot without slowing anyone else down

Great price point. This will sell sell sell. My guess is they’re hooking people early and will move to the subscription model later. The company indicated that it does capture spin initially but only for a short time. Weird that it wouldn’t spit out spin numbers if that’s the case.

It may be like mine in that it has different stats you can immediately view but it stores more to switch to depending on what you want to view. Limited display space.

Yes, it needs 8-10 feet of ball flight.
