This is a shame, he was a great beat writer and by all accounts a great guy.

He was not a good baseball beat writer when that was his responsibility.

Professional, good guy. Knew he was not long for Baton Rouge given his chops. Incredibly sad what he went through with his wife. Wish him all the best and happiness.

Wilson is a class act and a great reporter. Wherever he is gong he will do well. Im sure he is probably wanting a change of scenery and a new chapter after his wife's passing. Wish Wilson all the best

I said he wasn't a good LSU baseball beat writer when that was his responsibility.

He never attended any pre-season or fall scrimmages. He regularly missed games. One time he missed a whole weekend series for a wedding or some shite and told everyone to follow a guy with a locked twitter account for LSU baseball updates.

Have you ever missed work for a family event? This is not an unforgivable offense. In fact, it is often a good thing.

Do you always stop reading in the middle of sentence to comment?

What sort of updates does one need for a baseball series?

Not to make you feel like a dick, but he often traveled to Houston to be with his wife undergoing cancer treatment.

That's admirable.

And after his run as the baseball beat writer.
