But I am very confident he’s going to follow the Cignetti at IU trajectory,

Make the playoffs year 1 (might win a game too unlike Cignetti) and win it all year 2.

The difference I see is lane can reload yearly to contend, I think Cignetti might have to wait 3 years or so before having another title team if he ever does again

It’s refreshing to see an SEC fan give an honest assessment of Lane Kiffin, unlike the insane retarded drivel all over the SEC rant.

Our rivals are in for a horrifying reality that’s coming down the pipe

The Alabama fans are a scared. Have had a few that I know even say they are absolutely worried about Kiffin at LSU.

I’m just going to enjoy the season.

I just want to see the passion again. Last season felt like root canal.

Kelly had a top tier offense and an abysmal defense

I’m really happy that you are confident in that. But we also literally just watched Cignetti “reload”. He made the playoff then won the national championship the very next year.

Cignetti has much easier schedule over all each year so may make playoffs on regular basis. We will see if he can continue to reload with older experienced coachable kids like he did his first two years.

There isn’t a shred of evidence that would point at Kiffin being anything other than very good here.

However I will admit that I thought the absolute floor with Kelly would be like 3 losses a year with a lot more success

I mean that’s dependent on the year. The Big 10 was better than the SEC last year.

A lot of those players from his title team were from his JMU and previous year teams. Not really a reloading but more of a refinement adding key pieces to an already very good foundation really

He didn’t have to reload…. Most of his core was the same as the year before with like 25 year old dudes in their 7th year of CFB. This year he has to reload / retool

IU has the largest living alumni base (admittedly didn’t know that prior to this year) as well as Mark Cuban backing them. They may have unleashed some serious potential staying power.
