Currently a sophomore at Country Day. Class of '28. Absolute freak athlete and very good basketball player. I'll take him for the Ole Miss melts alone.
Having seen him (in both sports) in person, he just absolutely overmatches the 2A defensive backs. Not Odell level, but as a sophomore, he really couldn't be stopped.

More of a deep threat and jump ball guy at the moment.

CD also has the son of Corey Brewer (6'5, class of '27, more of a basketball player) on the football team. The entire offense was basically just throw it up to one of them.

Basketball clip to show the athleticism. Was MVP of the state title as a freshman.

He's 16. I've seen him in person. He's an elite defender in basketball. Not stiff or slow.

He's also 6'4. This isn't some shifty 5'9 receiver.

He moves just like his dad. Who was an absolute monster in the open field before his knee injury.

Both of them are the real deal. Glad to see them playing 2 sports. You can tell it definitely helped them this season. Brewer is headed probably to the SEC for basketball. Wouldn't be surprised if McAllister tried to play both. Both are extremely quick, jump real well, and they have great hands needed in both sports.

Playing for Catholic league is different than 5A.

1. Catholic League is 5A.

2. While I agree that they are not playing a 5A football schedule, Country Day routinely has one of the better basketball schedules in the state.

For example, this isn't your classic small school schedule, not even counting the out of state games played. They played 3 in class games all year, all of which being district games.

Even if he never takes a snap, if he becomes a Tiger the melt from Ole Piss fans would be glorious.

I would not make any judgement off of a couple highlight clips but I did not see any exceptional speed. Camps and 7on7 would be the better skill eval.

He has good genes for sure...

You can tell a lot from basketball highlights. A sophomore dunking like this measures explosion and coordination, which is why most athletes this age cannot complete this feat.

Looking at his football highlights, he shows that coordination and jumping ability again. He has yet to fully mature, so I'd keep an eye on him during the summer going into SR year. That is when the biggest jump happens. This is just a preview as to what is to come. He'll be bigger, stronger, faster, and more explosive.

Wish he would leave Country Day but it is what it is. Firm 4 star prospect

Given our renewed hatred relationship with OM this recruitment will be interesting to watch.

And I'm telling you, he is an exceptional defender on the basketball court. CD runs a ton of 3/4 court press with traps using him, Diley (big name to watch down the line, C/O 29'), and Brewer. Curtis is almost always at the top of that terrorizing people.

When they wouldn't trap, Curtis is the guy taking the best player baseline to baseline. May not have 4.3 speed, but he is certainly not lacking in lateral quickness, and as you said, is extremely explosive. You'll see it at the end of the clip below. Just terrorizing small school guards. Really if you just go on Garlen GIllen's twitter and search "country day" and scroll through basketball clips from this season, you'll see it a bunch.
