I flew into the NO airport yesterday - ICE was there and the TSA line was ridiculous so I watched the line for a while - ICE agents got involved at the security checkpoint and the line started rapidly moving

Well yea. 1 day to learn the job and 1200 days to learn how evil and oppressive they are through diversity training. Pure coincidence the funding for said training would be led by one of his buddies with no experience in teaching anything. They're the most qualified and you cant question it.

They must have gotten there later in the morning. My boss missed his 7am flight and was there at 4:15 and has TSA precheck.

Give it a day or two. The story will break of a "suspicious substance" being found on a plane, or something along those lines. Plane evacuated. Even longer waits. A nice family missed the funeral of a loved one, etc.
And they'll beat the drums even harder about how ICE isn't trained for such tasks.
And within 48 hrs of the story breaking we will learn that no one who got on that plane went through a line staffed with ICE officers. And soon after that, we will learn that the perp had some relationship with a DNC staffer or an elected democrat politician. And probably we will learn that the "substance" wasn't even illegal and to disregard the whole thing. But many will keep parroting the story as legit anyway.
