Appearantly the donors (with Brinks trucks) are only interested in Wade. At least that’s the rumor. The $ isn’t there to just go hire anyone

I'm not saying Wade is the best HC in the country or the only HC who could win at LSU. But it is comical, maybe more absurd, to see so many purported basketball fans be so against hiring the ONLY guy in nearly 3 decades who could consistently win at LSU.

Man, I agree with the Wade assessment. Strongest part of your post. Wade is some shiny object, that at one point gave us solid memories. Trying to buy back old memories with a simple mid tier coach, is fools gold, all day.
These idiots think we are bashing Wade as a solid coach.

It’ll be an empty Brinks truck. If you haven’t heard, we’re a football and baseball school and that’s where we’ve spent all our money.

Since Wade, LSU has neglected its basketball program. It's now a bottom-tier program in the SEC.
- LSU has shown that it doesn't prioritize basketball (football and, shockingly, baseball is more important)
- LSU has one of the worst arenas in the league
- LSU is in a football-first state (meaning, it doesn't have the best recruiting)
- LSU is highly turbulent and hasn't demonstrated consistent success since what...Dale Brown until the mid-90s?
- LSU isn't a "basketball-focused" SEC school (Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, etc.)
It just isn't a great job. This isn't football where you have 10-20 great jobs...basketball has so many appealing and attractive jobs.
LSU needs to find a diamond in the rough.
