I’d bet your salary it works more often than not. It’s just that when it doesn’t work we often give up runs so you remember it more.

Maybe but just bc they didn’t get a hit doesn’t mean “it worked”. Many times the normal position would get it even though they were in the shift. That happened twice tonight.

Damn. You having a bad night? You come to a discussion board and take time to click on a thread that you don’t agree with and you come with a moron comment? It’s going to be ok. People will have different opinions than yours.

This entire freaking inning is because of the shift. Responsible for multiple runs. This crap needs to be outlawed yesterday.

This is what people don’t get. It working or not is only provable on a handful of plays.

That’s exactly what it means. LSU Baseball is advanced analytically to the point we rival minor league operations. The shift only happens for certain batters based on advanced data interpretation we’re lucky to have.

What’s an acceptable rate of success for you?

I’m going to trust the group of guys using thousands of data points over Maurice who’s watching from the front porch of his shanty.

This is a great point! As long as you ignore the fact it was outlawed in the MLB because it was working too well.

Are you really comparing Kelly to Jay, who’s won national titles 2 of the last 3 seasons? Are you really doing that? That sounds like a good idea to you?

Don’t give a damn why it was outlawed, I’m just happy that it was and will be happier when it no longer fricks the Tigers.

Fixed for the **** arse English professor

You also don’t seem to give a damn about punctuation or coherent thoughts.

Love Johnson but he may be the Worst in the Country with the shift. Watch how many times we shift and then pitches are called directly opposite.
