In what ways were you limited, and how did you have it treated?

Hubby currently has one. Depending on the damage and pain it’s either therapy or orthoscoptic surgery.

Which did he opt for and is he currently active?

He is choosing therapy for now. He needs an actual knee replacement. Therapy has helped but were he not having a knee replacement he would have the ortho surgery and fix it.

A knee replacement for a mid patellar cartilage tear? Surely he must have more going on with the knee, no?

First of all, this board is getting terrifyingly old.
Second of all, Americans of every race, gender, creed, political affiliation have become insanely sensitive and soft

Just became sore after doing squats and limited how much I could do on leg day.

Rub some dirt on it and be a man.

Is this a fancy way of saying severe tenditis of the patella? If so, I have had two surgery’s on each knee to correct the issue. First surgery on right knee was just a basic scope with debridement and did nothing for me. I got a second opinion from a ortho who specializes in this type of thing and he did a scope with a large incision over the knee cap and debrided and PRP the tendon and completely fixed the issue.

Left knee started having the same issue and it took two surgery’s of open debridement and PRP injections to minimize the pain. Any sports activity still makes it flare up, but day to day activity’s are better

No, the knee replacement is due to something unrelated. Sorry for the confusion.
