Trying to get some dining ideas for a large group. Is is just easiest to the pre planned resort events?

I have not but I was there in January for a wedding. Really cool spot and staff was great. I enjoyed walking along the water early in the morning and checking out the nice waterfront homes along the path.
Breakfast buffet in the mornings was top notch. The meals I had at the other restaurants were good as well.
Sorry not much to add specifically for Easter and large groups but really enjoyed my stay there.

Never been for easter, but have been for Christmas, 4th of july, and i think labor day. They usually go all out with decorations and events for every holiday. Most are not free, but usually they decorate the area around the big ponds very well.

How big of a group?
Wash House
Fairhope Inn
Those would be my first two choices. But if you haven’t already booked it, good luck
