This is a major escalation by the Israelis deserving of its own thread. Qatar has already issued a statement condemning the attacks.

Iran response:

@clashreport
BREAKING: Iran has issued an urgent warning calling for the evacuation of petrochemical facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Sad for the good folk in Iran who will suffer when they take over a dystopian infrastructure. Bastard Jihadis always ruin it for everyone when they are rejected. Sociopaths.

The Israelis just keep pushing us into more conflict. Who is still blind to this?

At this point I’m just hoping no nukes get detonated anywhere.

One thing to keep in mind is that our energy infrastructure is insulating us from the effects of the war, but how secure is our infrastructure?

Well a drone struck a big gas field a day or two ago in UAE, of which Houston-based Occidental Petroleum has a huge stake, causing it to be shut down.

Maybe Qatar should point to that first.

I spoke on this a week or so ago. While there are certain to be ramifications to these strikes felt across the globe at least in the short term, is it fair to say this was somewhat inevitable? The Iranian regime wasn't going to suddenly become moderates and they do/did have a significant hand to play in regional and global energy production. At some point in time, was a hot conflict with this regime always going to happen?

You are right, I don’t like “our greatest ally” continuing to escalate a conflict that doesn’t benefit Americans.

But you can’t defend your point so you just label anyone who doesn’t think this is a just war as a terrorist, which is pretty gross

They had self-preservation reasons for not starting something like this. Now, we have taken self-preservation off the table for them.

Iran is running low on missiles and they’ve been hoarding what they have left. This is a put up or shut up move. They’ll be forced to fire some of their remaining missiles, giving US and Israel forces the opportunity to target remaining launchers. Smart plan.

My point is I want to end this as quickly as possible and if the people with the best intel deem hitting this target as a way to speed up ending this then I’m all for it. Now go parrot some more leftist influencer bs

I don't give a shite what Quatar or any other gulf state has to say about our conduct in this campaign.

They allowed and even encouraged this evil for decades.
Shut the frick up and let us clean up your mess.

This feels like a misrepresentation of the Iranian regime and their behavior over the years. If they were truly interested in self-preservation, one would assume they would try to avoid conflict wherever possible. If they were interested in avoiding conflict and preserving themselves.....

1) Why did they fund, train and arm Hezbollah for the Syrian Civil War?

2) Support Shia militias in the late 2010's-early 2020's that attacked US and other coalition forces?

3) Support the Houthi's in their alleged attacks against Saudi Arabia and the UAE?

4) Reportedly planned attacks and assasination attempts across Europe in countries like France and Denmark?

5) Attack commercial ships in the Persian Gulf

You may not agree with Epic Fury or Trump or our motives, but it seems grossly misleading to claim that Iran was strictly focused on preserving self and not stretching out their reach into other regional situations. Now you may make the argument that proxy wars in the region and outright conflict themselves are two different things, but certainly Iran's participation in the things on the list didn't lessen the chances for eventual escalation.

Every war can not be like Ukraine where major participants keep friendly relations buying products from the enemy that keeps them funding the war.

It is just stupid and defeatist to let them keep selling oil and LNG.
