It's sad what this team has done to this fanbase and, by extension, this board.

If you go to the last thread on the first page, the most recent post in that thread was 10 days ago.

Yeah. Last year was the beginning of it all. Worst season of injuries for us ever (which is saying a lot) killed any momentum we had. Then we kept Willie and got rid of cj and ingram.

Rebuild has been a bitch

I don’t pay attention to the Pels really but will be courtside tonight. Anything they’re playing for?

Nothing really to play for except that you should see a good game because with no draft pick, the Pels have nothing to tank for. Murray has been playing great and the Pels have been playing .500+ ball lately, with a healthy roster. We need a true starting center but the roster you will see tonight has been competitive.

Because they're not actually rebuilding.

Just keep trying to put tape over a leak while two more leaks open up each time.

Idk, drafting two rookies in the 1st round is a start. The next piece of it should be this offseason when we move off some of the bigger contracts.

This isnt the nfl where you can cut cap and eat dead salary. We have to have players with big contracts on the team. Which ones we keep will tell if we're actually rebuilding or not

Who would you keep outside of the rookies? Who would you try to get rid of?

We've been down this road before.

Everyone should be available to move.

It was actually a step back, considering we gave away a likely top 5 pick for a mid-round pick.

Of course. I want to know which players you would keep.

Honestly, no one, if it meant we get more pieces for a rebuild.

Anyone with value, try and turn them into picks. We're maxed out as a play-in team and that's if we get a bunch of luck our way. The longer we think we're a player or two away, the harder it will be to build a potential playoff team.

Pels are 8.5 point favorites tonight. Vegas starting to show a little respect that we’ve improved.

I don’t think we’ll have a top 5 pick. If we win tonight, and we are currently 8.5 point favorites, we will have the 7th worst record. I think we overtake Memphis by end of season, as well. Of course, the lottery balls could change the order, but I believe we’ll end up with the 8th “best” odds and likely pick 7-9. If that is the case, I would be happy to have a Derek Queen level talent with that pick, making the trade at least palatable.

That's because of the bad teams in the league i.e. the top 8 lottery teams, we're the only one trying to win games.

If we had that pick, I promise you we'd still be hovering around the 1-4 in terms of worst records.

If we still had that pick, Murray would still be recovering from his Achilles injury.

ok?

With how this season has gone for us, I'd rather be tanking for a pick right now than playing for nothing at all with players who won't be on this team the next time we're relevant.

We have to have a starting center that can rebound and rim protect but hopefully one that can hit the 3 too. I actually really like some of the pieces on the current team but we need more shooters and a starting C so Missi can play balls to the wall for 20 minutes oft the bench.

That’s a blow. He was playing like he did for San Antonio. Fears gets to shine but this means we likely see Jordan Poole off the bench unfortunately.
