I lived through the 1973 oil embargo

It lasted 5 months so gas prices soared and gas rationing was used.
An odd-even system was used for gas ration8bg. If the last digit of your license plate was odd then you could get gas on odd numbered days. Similar concept with even numbered days and an even numbered last digit.
Colored flags were used at gas stations. Green flag meant gas was available, yellow flag meant gas was available but the amount you could purchase was limited, and red flags meant no gas.
Long lines with long waits at the gas station, some stations closed on Sundays, and speed on the interstates was reduced to 55 mph.
I’m not suggesting this disruption of the oil supply will be as long and impactive. This disruption just brought back memories of 1973. Just letting the younger generation know what we went through back then.

Siphoning & locks on gas caps… good times.

Gas prices went up. Calm down.

Different times old timer. It’s all good.

I remember it as a kid. OPEC brought the USA to our knees. This will not be the same in any way other than soaring prices.

This did not make Sammy Hagar happy as he could not drive 55.

It's hard to steer.
And you can't get your car out of 2nd gear.

They aren’t going to care, they have no frame of reference to compare. Not to mention most didn’t get past the first sentence to see what you were saying.

I lived through the Obama “new normal” where gas was routinely over 100.00 a barrel for 7 of his 8 years. This too will pass

Disrespectful punk. The OP was just providing history. GFY and eat your hot pocket and get some juice from your Mom and even if you are older than your teen comment grow the F up. The punk reference still stands however.

Got siphoned once and bought a locking gas cap the next day. So sad.
