What a game by the two kids from Gibsland-Coleman. 1 and 34 they carried their team to the class C championship. 1 scored 47 points he was unbelievable in the second half made shots from everywhere layups and threes. One of the all time best performances I have ever seen. To make it even better they beat Coach Carlisle the greatest coach/recruiter ever just ask him. Saturday should be a great day as well Country Day and Calvary. John Curtis and Karr Nola rivalry. Then the big dogs Ruston and Zachary if Ruston plays as a team they will win. Feed Hudson he makes everyone better. Good luck everyone.

How about the Northside Vikings? They beat the team that I had number one overall in the state.

Great storyline. Especially if they could pull off another win.

Northside has 2 guards that is the best TANDEM I’ve seen so far this year.

Country Day currently beating Cavalry 47-38 with 3:39 left in the game. Looking to go back to back.

Had a couple insane dunks by KB Brewer (son of Corey Brewer) and Curtis McAllister (son of Deuce McCallister) in the semi final game against Dunham.

Have you watched Ruston? Karl Malone’s grandson transferred from Ouachita and has been dominant with Ahmad Hudson. Should be a great game against Zachary tonight.

No offense but his name is Charles Smith at Peabody. He won ring #10 as head coach and #11 overall today.

1235 wins, top 5 national history and in the Naismith HOF.

We started 2 Freshmen and a Junior most of this year and move to 5A next year in district with Ruston (who we beat this year) and have a chance at having titles in 3A, 4A and 5A.

I remember an article where they made a big deal out of him being an assistant AD or something

Deuce was at St Martins a while back in some paid advisor role. It felt like a desperation move for the school. No idea if his son ever attended there. But St martins has seen better days as a school. Although their basketball team was quite good this year.

Right around that time they had Harlem Berry… NM that was way before him

Mike's got 15 years to get 4 more then Just hit the 700 win mark a couple months ago.

While CD has always been in the lower levels (1A/2A) most of their titles/title game losses have come against NBA/high major talent.

Langston Galloway at Christian Life in the late 2000s. Madison Prep with Brandon Sampson and Jerrell Martin in the mid 2010s. Jared Butler (and a multitude of others) at Riverside in the late 2010s. Then the Newman shite show in the early 2020s.

The lower levels of 1A/2A are no good. Country Day didn't lose a district basketball game from I believe 2003 to 2017 but the top of the division is frequently as good as the rest of the state.

Smith at Peabody, Coach Mike, and Danny Broussard at STM are best active coaches in the state IMO. Timmy Byrd was also in that group until he left a few years ago.

I think Curtis went there for lower school and maybe start of middle school, but I'm pretty sure he's been at CD since 7th grade at least.

Yeah I feel like the decline really started around 2010. From what I understand, leadership there was very poor.

They recently brought in an alum to either be the headmaster or head of fundraising or something, and are on their way back to being a good school again. As a Country Day guy, it's honestly sad to have witnessed the STM decline. We used to have some really good competition with them. Then one day STM seemingly just got worse at everything.
