Williams coming in. Wasn’t great
Cowan coming in. Was great
Pulling Cowan for GG. Likely could have gone one more inning
GG coming in. Looked great for 1 inning.
Not pulling GG.

Walking 14… Evans dint pitch his best for sure.
Stanfield looked great being back in the line up.
Stanfield getting thrown out at second was tough. Especially since brown got walked on the next pitch. That being said I think that should have been challenged because he could have been safe. He hesitated though so got there later than he normally does.

Jake’s second not home run that should have been a homer.

What other moments yall got.

This was the biggest take by far. We have the bats and almost pulled it out.

Honestly the most egregious is the one I forgot.

Pulling caraway for Reaves… just a terrible decision.

Free bases! You get a free base, and you get a free base, everybody gets a free base!

While true, they gave us plenty of free bases too. And especially if you count wild pitchers or passed balls as free extra bases. It was basically a push on free bases.

Gonna be honest, right now idk if you can go right with either. They are both bad.

Williams got squeezed. If he isn’t getting those pitches he doesn’t have the stuff to make up for it

4 pitches at the knee caps got called a ball. For a pitcher who likes to live at the bottom of the zone, that’s hard. And he got rattled by it and couldn’t shake it off.

Playing Reaves is just stupid. Should of pinch hit Ruckert or Rieckert or whatever his name is for Caraway and mover Dar Dar to 3rd and Ruckert to 2B

Yep. This was the turning point for me.

The thing that pissed me off most about that was Vandy's pitcher struck out a batter on a pitch that was more of a ball than many of the ones called a ball against Williams.

"Walking 14… Evans dint pitch his best for sure."

I hope last season Evans shows up pronto as the current Evans is lost. Seems to be greatly overthinking and losing his release point on the rubber. It's about time to change things up as no fielder wants to be standing around behind him watching ball after ball be called.

If last night triggers a return from the dead by Cowan, then I am willing to live with the loss

How about all the pass balls and wild pitches by Vandy. Guess that didn’t happen

Hasn't been great all year so im not making excuses but he got squeezed AF. Felt like he was locating pretty well and he wasn't getting the calls

Gotta adjust tho. In fact Jay probably has gotta go get him after walking 2, not let him walk 4

This is Vandy.. not Northeastern or Sac State. It's freaking go time

definitely got squeezed. I didnt have a problem with the strike zone most of the night but it was bad against Williams. But thats something he can learn because that is something that happens sometimes.

The team that gives up the most free bases usually loses. Nothing else really even comes close.
