Evans has never been a Friday night guy. If your Friday night guy can’t go 7 consistently, your pitching for the weekend will be strained and there’s not much quality there.
Not to mention the lineup doesn’t do much.
It’s not a good team. You need a clear ace to be a good team.

Very poor job by JJ if bringing in transfers who can play in the SEC. Terrible at 1B, 2B, and 3B. Poor on defense and can't hit! Pitching staff is pathetic!

2024 went 3-12 out of the gate in the SEC. It was pretty ugly

I knew there would be a drop-off from last year but I never thought it would be this bad. No clear Friday, Saturday or Sunday starter. Then on the offensive side of the ball the transfers that were brought in to hit cant hit.

You do realize there are a records out there, correct?
10-4 loss
15-5 loss
12-2 loss the following weekend
Competitive sweep at Arkansas
13-3 loss in 4th weekend
Semi competitive sweep in Knoxville
We aren’t even through Game 1 yet and they’re now down 3 runs.
