I was talks with a.friend of mine and he was saying that Wade won because 90% couldn't pay players that he was willing to at the time
Same same Saban.
They both were ahead of the game and if it leveled out where everyone can would he be as successful.
I said frick it WW is anywhere close to Saban sign me up.

Any college coach that is good is dirty as frick and pushing every line.
Also Wade won in NIL era at mcneese so it wasn’t just Wade was paying more.

Same with football. The naivety of some people is mind blowing. LSU Football was on probation less than 3 years ago and had to vacate 37 wins for paying a players father.

you could literally go on and on - and the guys you mention above paid more and did worse than WW did I can assure you. Hell WW had Cal and Pearl in his conference, both multiple time proven cheaters who he had to try to keep up with.
The double standard he had to endure from the likes of Dick and Forde will always bother me. They were relentless in attacking him and meekly silent about the others you mention. Hell, EVERYONE knew about Zion - it was no secret, yet the same guys blasting WW never spoke of it.

Dick's attempts to justify his hypocrisy were so lame as to be comical. "There's not proof" he'd day regarding Duke and Zion and Self at Kansas when in fact there was as much or more proof of those things.
His start had fallen even before this stuff, but after he did that to WW and LSU I'll never listen to him ever again, if there is a game I want to see he's doing the color on - it will be on mute.

Certainly this is a question that needs to be thought about.
No more backdoor advantages for Wade and he looks rather normal in the 4th best basketball conference in America. (SEC is #1 btw). McNese still churning without him.
