Senate Republicans are planning for days of marathon sessions as they try to put Democrats on defense over their controversial elections bill backed by President Donald Trump.

The strategy, described by two aides granted anonymity to comment on private deliberations, is emerging after GOP leaders signaled they will bring the SAVE America Act to the Senate floor next week.

But it will fall short of the “talking filibuster” that some hard-line conservatives want to force. That’s because leaders are still expected to move to curtail debate at some point by invoking existing Senate rules and setting up a vote at 60-vote margin — meaning it will fail given the opposition from Democrats and even some Republican senators.

This is the actual real filibuster, not that phony baloney virtual crap they do.

Has anyone on the right given a reasonable argument why they're voting against the legislation?

1) I'd at least have an ounce of respect for the scumbag if he would simply say they weren't going to pass it.

2) Don't anybody think that it's just Thune. If the Republicans really wantef this they would be publicly slamming Thune. They aren't.

3) You know why they're against it? Clean elections are the biggest enemy for almost all of them.

This is Example A of why one man in one branch of the government can hardly even begin to clean this mess up by himself.

At this point they're pretty much daring MAGA, conservatives, and all non-RINOs to just de-couple from the GOP proper.

We need 5 senators to call for a vote to replace him. Then they can elect a new leader. In the meantime, JD Vance can replace him.

Nope. There's a whole frickin list of them. I almost posted it last night, but sometimes I feel bad for creating so many threads.

One of whom is a piece of shite senator from here in Arkansas. John frickin Boozman. I've already reached out and told him what I thought of his cowardly arse.

Trump just talked about it at his rally in Kentucky. I guess he doesn't know what Thune just did.

At this point, I give zero fricks what the democrats think. They are insane, but at least they have the stones to tell me they hate me to my face.

i want to see the “republicans” who are opposed to this for “reasons” vote no. Vote it loud and proud. I want to see THEM explain why they don’t want this.

For that alone, it would be worth it when it fails. At least those traitors are unmasked and since they’re “leadership” anyway - they can just face removal. They are so spineless and detestable they are even too chickenshit to hate me to my face.

Allegedly there are 50 supporters- plus Vance so how exactly does it not pass, I don’t know or care.
