Three vessels off Iran’s coast have been struck by projectiles, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said on Wednesday, the latest in a flurry of incidents reported in or near the Strait of Hormuz.
One of the ships reported it had been struck 11 nautical miles north of Oman in the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire onboard and forcing the crew to evacuate, the UKMTO said.
Two other incidents were also reported on Wednesday morning, with one vessel struck by a projectile about 50 nautical miles northwest of Dubai and another sustaining damage off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

If actually true this is going to send a certain crowd into a frenzy.
Let’s see how Orange responds.

Don't prematurely claim air superiority (or perhaps sea superiority depending on how the vessel was hit) if it's not true.

Hopefully by opening the strait. Will probably require putting US forces in a more dangerous position though.

This is without doubt. I have seen Trump claim air supremacy though I’m pretty sure which sort of indicates you own the entire airspace and what comes in and out of it.
I never had anything to do with the Air Force or air operations when I served though so I’m not even totally sure when they’re interchangeable even after two deployments

The standard military definition of air superiority in U.S. and NATO doctrine does not mean that zero enemy air attacks can occur. It is a practical, achievable level of control rather than absolute invulnerability.

You can have total air and sea superiority and still have missile attacks.

I’m not positive but I believe this is what the Air Force would refer to as Air Dominance as opposed to air superiority. But to the average person I doubt the distinction matters all that much.

There's a difference between air superiority and air supremacy.

You’re probably right. Beyond going through air assault because I was sent to the 101st initially I didn’t have much to do with planes or the air as I said. I just got on them and went where they said

Oh, I'm sure some Air Force personnel came through your chow line.
Hope you served them their eggs with a smile.

Good. I appreciate them giving us more justification for our actions.
