I thought he had made some progress defensively as the season went along last year. I was hoping he would build on that.

I have watched every game this season. I take it OP didn't watch Serna throw out 2 runners this past weekend. My point was that Serna is the backup. He made one bad throw, as have others tonight. He doesn't "suck" he is just young and will get better.
Did you watch Bide last year vs this year. He has gotten a lot better too.

Yes, I am sure that Arambide is way better than last year. I watched every game last year too and while he had big bat moments last year, he was a defensive liability last year. He is much improved behind the plate this year. Jay is using Serna the same way he used Bide laste year. Catch the midweek and Saturday with Moore (Arambide caught for Ant all year)
