Did we try to match what the Jets gave Demario?

I honestly wonder if we matched but DD still decided to go play for Aaron Glynn in the place he was drafted. I love Stutsman and I hope he’s a future star in this league but I would have gladly handed DD $11 mil AAV for 2 years. He’s an alien athletically so I highly doubt we see him drop off these next 2 years. That would have freed us up to take whoever makes it to us between Delane and Downs. The Titans MASSIVELY overpaid for Alonte Taylor! They paid him as the 10th highest outside corner but he’s shite on the outside so Tennessee just paid $20 mil a year for a nickel/box safety.
