$8.99 pack – 800 V-Bucks (was 1,000)
$22.99 pack – 2,400 V-Bucks (was 2,800)
$36.99 pack – 4,500 V-Bucks (was 5,000)
$89.99 Pack – 12,500 V-Bucks (was 13,500)
Exact amount pack – $0.99 for 50 V-Bucks (was $0.49 for 50)
OG Pass – 800 V-Bucks (was 1,000)
Music Pass – 1,200 V-Bucks (was 1,400)
Lego Pass – 1,200 V-Bucks (was 1,400)
V Bucks are not a physical thing they can create a gazillion in no time. "Paying the bills" is a ridiculous argument.

Last month Epic Games announced that PC players spent $1.16 billion on the Epic Games Store last year, while Statista estimates that Epic Games generated $6.21 billion in gross revenue last year overall.
However, general manager Steve Allison recently told Polygon that the Epic Games Store was only “marginally profitable”, due to a low profit margin on third-party games and the fees paid to developers and publishers for its weekly free game deal.

They shoud but v-bucks and robux aren't going anywhere soon, my nephew dropped $1500 on v-bucks/robux last year thanks to an ATM called Grandma.

The free weekly games suck--just do away with that and boom budget problem solved.

Epic Games recently conducted mass layoffs affecting 1,000 people at the Fortnite studio, and the cuts included the character artist who created Jonesy, one of the most recognizable characters in the game.
Explaining the cuts, Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney said Fortnite has experienced a downturn in engagement since 2025, which has resulted in a situation where the developer is "spending significantly more than we're making." Epic also announced a $500 million cost-savings plan that will see cuts to contract work and marketing. Epic will also close some open roles.

Epic Games Layoffs: CEO Tim Sweeney Faces Backlash Over 1,000 Job Cuts
Epic Games' recent lay offs of over 1,000 employees has been decried by gamers and industry professionals alike, most prominently by Chet Faliszek, former Valve writer best known for his work on the Portal, Half-Life, and Left 4 Dead series. Faliszek's comments, originally made on TikTok, have spread across the web like wildfire. Not only are they a fiery critique of Epic Games and its CEO, Tim Sweeney, they're also a strong condemnation of the wider churn in the gaming industry, which seems to mass fire its employees whether games prove successful or not.

Player numbers are allegedly cratering
If Fortnite goes down, that whole platform will be gone

I'm normally against legislation and regulation but would 100% support banning this shite.
This carney token crap aimed at kids is just vile.

It’s almost like focusing on nostalgia bait cringe collaboration skins isn’t that appealing to the ultra young kids that have grown up on the game for years.

People who pay for micro transactions in video games shouldn’t be allowed to breed.
At this point, I’m convinced that AAA companies now are just a direct reflection of the current generation of young gamers. Gen Z gamers are over-stimulated and bombarded with social media stimuli to the point where they immediately want to buy whatever gets released in order to satisfy that dopamine rush.

Disney could be interested in buying Fortnite maker Epic Games, but not everyone's on board with the idea
At least that's what tech reporter Alex Heath from The Verge suggested during his appearance on podcast The Town with Matt Belloni on 25th March (hat tip to IGN). "I know for a fact there are senior executives in Disney who want them to buy Epic and are just waiting for that moment," Heath said. The reality might be more complex though, as he added there are people near the top "who think it's a bad idea."
While this doesn't instantly mean Epic is looking to sell, or that any kind of deal would materialise, it does raise an interesting possibility. Since the company isn't publicly traded, "Epic is a founder-controlled company," Heath reminded listeners. If Disney made a move and wanted to acquire the developer, Fortnite, and its digital storefront, its founder and outspoken CEO Tim Sweeney would be making the final decision. Of course, it's hard to imagine Epic suddenly calling it quits, but if the downward trend in player retention and spending that was felt in 2025 and into 2026 continues, that might leave room for things to change.

The company, sure, not the platform. They are keeping it going with Fortnite money.
