So what do you guys think we’re doing with Cesar? I have a strange feeling he’s going to be starting again. I hope I’m wrong

I’d bet they will draft a guard to compete with him in the mid rounds.

It’s a valid question, but whether he starts or not, I feel much better about this offensive line with the sole addition so far. (Assuming we can stay healthy going into the upcoming season).

Easier said than done, but I hope we can find a good flex guard/tackle guy in 3rd/4th round.

Saints need a RG and then I think they finish with a Top 15ish offense next year.

Shough was throwing for 300 with the saddest corps in the league. Kid has upside. Protect him. Dont Burrow him.

I bet they even contact TEMU for a possible replacement :rimshot:

I think we are stuck with him this season, but can cut him next offseason

It's weird. IIRC, Ruiz was graded pretty well by PFF. Maybe there is a solid starter there if the rest of the line is better.

We had two holes at guard last year.. Even with McCoy in there he cant help both sides.

With one competent guard McCoy can make the other guard spot look more competent

Agree they'll draft someone to compete with him and see if he can improve.

There are several strong mid-round candidates at guard including, Keylon Rutledge from GT, Gennings Dunker from Iowa and Chase Bisontis from TAMU. Some good prospects later on as well, like Farmer from Kentucky, Carmona from Arkansas and DJ Campbell from Texas. Good guard draft.

My off-the-wall scenario: Saints pick Mauignoa at 8 to play right guard. That o-line would be awesome!

Or trade down a few spots, pick up an extra day 2 pick(2nd-3rd), and take Ioane to play RG.

That what I’m thinking, if a team wants to trade up, we make the deal grab a few picks this year, a first next year and still get our guy.

Is the big LT from Bama a risk pick? Someone is going to put the big fella at LG I think.
