Been a long time since I have seen her name, and sadly it had to be about her death. Never really a star, but I recognize the name immediately. She also had small parts in Ghostbusters, Falcon and the Snowman, and 18 Again.

Jennifer Runyon, known for her roles in “Ghostbusters,” “Charles in Charge,” “A Very Brady Christmas” and others, has died at the age of 65.

As reported first by TMZ, the actress’ family shared an announcement on her Facebook page Sunday. “This past Friday night our beloved Jennifer passed away, it was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family,” it read.

“She will always be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family and friends. I know from above she’s looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace our Jenn.”

She was a beauty. Memorable for the little scar above her lip. I had a crush on her after Up the Creek.

A social media poster by her sister said she died "after a brief bout with cancer."

She was the dumb but sweet blonde. I remember her in a pretty interesting movie called The In Crowd about a HS guy's attempt to be cool in the mid sixties as it transitioned to the late sixties.

So, which was it?

“ … a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family,”

Or

“after a brief bout?”

Be at peace.

65?

I had no idea she was older than me (63). I agree she was a beauty who had the dumb blond thing down pat.

I remember that scar now, but the pictures I saw at the time didn’t really show it (lower resolution).

She was in two great Murder, She Wrote episodes.

In Seal of the Confessional, S6/E2, she plays a beautiful, young daughter of a troubled family who faces a dangerous situation with courage and grace.

In Murder, Plain and Simple, S7/E20, she plays a beautiful, young Amish wife who faces a dangerous situation with courage and grace.
