The Tanner Reaves experiment

Isn't working. Batting .217- 2nd worst BA on team (behind only Serna, a true freshman). Fielding .800- tied for 2nd worst position player fld% on team (with Pearson).

No one understands the infatuation with him. He was barely decent last season.

The only thing more perplexing is this board’s obsession with a bench player that got one at bat today, a pinch hit appearance for William Patrick. That and calling everything an “experiment.” He’s not an experiment. He’s a 5th year senior bench player. He’s going to get pinch hit opps and some ABs during midweek games. Relax. Our whole team got 3 hits today. Reaves getting one at bat wasn’t the problem
The random players each year that get anointed the board’s punching bag will never not be funny

There are multiple young guys who we'd all rather see than a known commodity in Reaves. Dgaf about matchups either and I know that's a big reason Jay puts him in.

Name them and why. Reaves was the 6th player off the bench today. John Pearson and Ethan Clauss are the only healthy position players who didn’t play today.

How about you tell me and everyone else who agrees with me why he needs to see the field and why you're knighting for the "6th" player off the bench who is a redshirt senior.
He might be a great kid but he doesn't do anything exceptionally well. We already know that about him. Anyone else needs to be out there getting reps.
Tell me - did you think he'd get on base when he came in?

Who should have batted when he did?
That’s what none of you seem to want to (or can’t) answer. You don’t want to see Reaves ever play again. That’s a little ridiculous, but ok fine. Who, specifically, should have been batting instead of him in that situation yesterday and why. Of you can’t answer that question then kindly stfu

im assuming hes trying to say that he would rather a bad matchup(righty) instead of reaves?
not saying I agree or disagree but I think people have gotten to the point that they beleive they would rather go right on right than reaves. im pretty sure a lefty in reaves vs a right on right of a slightly better player thats a righty is similar odds on getting a hit.
can we quit with the "experiment " bullshite. these guys have been with Jay from last fall and some for multiple seasons. nobody is an experiment

He really wasn’t…. He was just a better hitter than Braswell for a while.

I feel the same way about him and Yorke. Both just bad

Harden needs to be playing over Reaves.

Second coming of Hal higher Hughes

Hal Hughs started all season and couldn’t hit his weight or the ball out of the infield. This situation isn’t even remotely the same
