I assume:

Evans
Moore
Schmidt

Guidry
Sheerin
Cooper Williams (shaky this year)
Rizy
Noot

I liked Plog last night, was irritated that Jay had such a short leash on him

What’s puzzling is that the hitters were raking the ball in the first 9 or 10 games against inferior teams. And that includes the tournament in Jacksonville against teams that may have a step up in talent. And now the hitting has completely fell off the table the last 6 games against inferior teams. What happened? You might understand a game or two sprinkled in here and there but 6 games in a row?

Ricken over either. Maybe.

Reagan Ricken - 1.59 ERA - 1.15 WHIP - 5.2 IP - .190 BA against

Ethan Plog - 2.70 ERA - 1.94 WHIP - 3.1 IP - .286 BA against

Cooper Williams - 6.75 ERA - 1.76 WHIP - 5.1 IP - .292 BA against

We have an approach problem, I am not concerned about Milam, Brown, Stanfield, or Curiel....finding guys that know what it takes to have success with what they need to do is proving difficult. There may be some hard decisions that need to be made. The early hot start may have put our time schedule behind on establishing our 11-12 guys to use on offense.

It looked like we had nailed it on the first attempt.

Who are you benching?

I understand Yorke shouldn't just be automatically given a position but nobody else has even shown a competent ability to play 1st, much less shining at the plate.

Neither Serna nor Arambide doing much. I assume they don't think Yamin is good enough

Who should be definitely playing over Dardar even though he has had some shaky moments?

Caraway hitting enough to stay

Stanfield may provide a jolt of energy

Yeah it’s easier to see a top 7 instead of 8 although it’s still very early

One of the things that seems to be getting lost from last night is that Curiel may be breaking out.

Great night at the plate for Derek. 3-3 with a walk. That caught stealing in the first really hurt considering that Jake got a hit and stole a base afterwards.

Never thought a month into the season I might be right......

Braun is listed as Outfield/First base. No upgrade in range but at least hes athletic. Either him or simpson at first and leave York as DH.

I’m still puzzled by Jay’s decision to bring Noot into the game in the 9th when ULL already had the 7-2 lead. I assumed he was going to save Noot for the weekend up to that point to see what else he had in the pen and was fine with that, but inserting him there didn’t make much sense to me. Seems like a guy you would give the nod to start or immediately follow Guidry up with in this game if you’re going to play him at all.
