She had a nice game . Had 5 blocks and got robbed on a 6 with a bs call . She plays her role well for the team , Like to see her develop a low post game on the offensive side.

I'll add in Mikaylah. She played all 40 minutes today. That was an iron man performance on a day that desperately needed consistency. 26p, 15r, 4a, 1s

she was definitely en-fuego, and with her 5 blocks may have had more success than dog state 3-point shooting… and i did not see the 1st half!… no telling how many intimidations she had for the game!!!… maybe they could start keeping that stat!…

Koval has a ways to go offensively, but Mulkey needs to get a T when defenders beat the hell out of Koval when she goes up to shoot under the goal. She should also have opportunities to shoot at the junction.

I flashed back to Dale Brown storming the court in the SEC tourney to defend the Shaq Attack abuse from Tennessee. Caused Shaq to miss the championship game.

Was that the game Shaq was going up for a dunk and the Tennessee player grabbed Shaq around the waist from behind and straight pulled him down?

Yep. I think his name was Carlos Groves. It started a skirmish and Brown got right in the middle of it. It cost us the SEC Tournament Championship.
Geert Hammink was no Shaq.

Back on topic. Yes, she and Joyner are steadily improving. Good timing.

Also appears to me that Williams has trimmed up a bit, which has her moving really well.

Yes to all this. Joyner actually showed some offensive moves today. Kate just needs to go straight up with the ball. Ever time she dribbles she gets tied up.

What happened to our star player today. Did I miss why she wasn't playing?

That’s right in a year we gonna have 2 over 6’4” white girls manning the paint. The Gregory girl from Oak Grove La is a little better than KK now but without as much competition experience. I just said white girls not trying to start no sht, just will be uncommon in the SEC.

Not a “star”. Good player at times but certainly not a star.

She's big and always plays hard. The problem is she's not very athletic or good at basketball

Kate aaverages 9 PPG and 7 rebounds in 16 minutes per game. Every coach in the country would take that from their center who is not the focal point of their offense.

The reality is that she’s decent defensively but offensively she has terrible hands, bad habits (ie brings the ball down waist level after OR or pass inside), zero help in transition (unlike Joyner), and no offense outside 3’ from basket. She’s got a defensive role and not much more. Joyner, Johnson and Knox are all much better offensive inside players than the Ukraine.
