I read that Trump is offering Iranian elite forces immunity for past crimes if they turn on leadership. Can't confirm if it is true or not. Lots of information coming out right now.

How about not allowing a Terrorist Nation to own Nuclear weapons. The Trump administration has made a good faith effort to work out a deal with Iran. Iran just keeps stalling and isn't interested in working out a deal. So for all these people whining and boohoo'ing about we are doing this for Israel. Would you be fine with Iran owning a Nuke? We should be commending Trump for having the fortitude to go through with it. You don't think he doesn't know that there are bunch of "supposed Trump supporters" that are going to be against another "Middle eastern War".

Iran has been Islamic since the 7rh century. But I get your point, in that Iran was not a theocracy under the Shah. The Islamic revolution in 1979 put an end to that. I am not sure if this country can ever be free and prosperous. Even if they have elections or install a leader who is acceptable to the US, I think it's just a matter of time before the next Islamic revolution. Wash, rinse, repeat.
