On Wednesday afternoon at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Ind., the New Orleans Saints were recognized for having the best draft of 2025, by the voting of the NFL scouts and administrators, as compiled by Inside the League. This marks the second time that the Saints have received the honor, having been named the inaugural winner for their 2017 draft class.

Well deserved award.

Both Banks and Shough look like multiple time pro bowl players.

Also a lot of good depth/starters as well.

Win the same award next year and the Saints will be in great shape for 2027.

They've won Best Draft award twice in the 9 years since the award started. Don't they know Loomis sucks?

Getting the best LT and best QB in the draft with your first 2 picks will do that for you

Wrong again. I actually really liked our draft outside the Shough and Broughton picks. I thought they were both reaches.

These are the two I woulda also went with. If we drafted these two at 40 and 71, with the rest of our picks, I would have given our draft an A+ and it would have been our best draft since 2017.

I liked Ezeriku in the 2nd. And wanted Revel who had first round talent but dropped because of his injury or Watts in the 3rd. Watts finished 4th I think in Defensive rookie of the year voting…

I wanted Burden in the 2nd and after he went, I would have been happy with any of Mason Taylor, Ezeruku or Mike green. No way I was taking Broughton in the 3rd. Wanted Revel or Watts at safety.

Chad, you're slipping. You missed this one from page 1

Now I wonder what he ranked the draft since he "actually really liked our draft outside the Shough and Broughton picks." yet still had them ranked last in the division.

The drafts were great in ‘17 and ‘25. The 7 years of drafts in between mostly sucked.

It’s OK to say he’s sucked and give him credit when he gets one right. And it’s OK to give him credit when he gets one right and to say when he’s sucked.

I still think Shough was a reach at 40. I’m glad he looks as good as he does. I just think it was to much of a gamble that high. And no qb was selected after we took Shough at 40 and picked at 71.

I was half right, no comparison between Watts and Broughton…

youre fricking insane and your logic sucks. no one was taken after Shough because the drop off from him was that wide. Shough was going in the 2nd no matter what. We made a power play and got him.

Trying to get a franchise quarterback is never risky.

Absolutely no way of proving that one way or another.

4 teams desperately needed qbs last draft including us. Two took them in the first round, the third (Browns) passed on Shough three different times before we picked him in the second.

You can say that all day but you can’t prove me right or wrong either way. I’m just stating it’s a fact no other qb was taken from the time we took Shough in the 2nd until we drafted in the 3rd, that’s a fact.

Shough because the drop off from him was that wide

Every single expert or analyst had Shough as an afterthought. Guess most of you have short memories, it was all about ‘we can’t believe Shedeur is dropping out of the first’ How was the drop off that wide after him when every single analyst had the drop off after Sanders?

Still remember Kiper and Louis Riddick both saying Sanders was the #2 qb in the draft and he was 1B to Cams 1A. And Riddick pumped Shough up way more than most, yet he had him rated far behind Sanders.
