I've been saying it for decades now.....give me a bullet proof Chevy 350, Muncie rock crusher 4 speed, am radio, and a heater.

Seriously, some of the engines produce in 90s through 2010 are outstanding and very reliable. What surprises me is how cheap newer cars feel, but manage to be so heavy still.
I'll just stick with my 2005 Tundra. Not one single drop from a leak anywhere on the thing after 21 years. I was going to change the original radiator hoses on it, but I've decided to keep them and see how long they'll last on the truck until one pops. I sure hope it's the top hose.

The Auto Start Stop is the most infuriating feature a vehicle can have.

No way that shite is better for engine components.

I've watched quite a few of this guys videos and they run a pretty legit independent repair shop in Georgia.

I'd say it's 2 things:
1) Engineering for fuel economy, as a second to reliability.
2) Increasingly complex/unreliable systems due to low manufacturing cost (can bus type wiring, plastic engine components, lower sub-supplier quality).

No one is affected worse than poor people that work at walmart, mcdonalds. They are stuck in a cycle of making payments on a shitty car. Repair bills get to be more then they can afford but they can get another new shitty car and monthly note.

It’s all by design .
They know it doesn’t help shite and reliability suffers.
They want you to buy a new vehicle every other year.
This mindset can be traced throughout American industry, look at appliances , hvac etc. all junk and cost a ton to replace.

My wife and I love watching Sherwood and his sons' videos. This short dropped recently. and it was an eye-opening.

... anything after 2014 has turned to shite.

Poor people should learn to fix shite. Fix it yourself or pay the man and stay poor.

Can't wait to the stories of people unable to start their cars due to breathilizers reading wrong or the auto turn off system gets hacked or shut down on purpose. Thanks Repubs!
