term limits for congress is probably the most important issue that no one really talks about enough, and it probably will never happen sadly

Trump could send Bondi to the Hill to make this happen. Would not be difficult. Talk to some people about insider trading investigations and I suspect things happen pretty quickly.
I don't know if Senate rules have changed, but in the past the Majority Leader could bypass committee for a vote.
This is from a 2017 CRS report:
Rule XIV requires measures to be read twice before referral to committee. By objecting after the second reading of a measure to any further proceeding on it, a Senator, normally the majority leader, acting on his own initiative or at the request of any Senator, prevents a bill or joint resolution's referral to committee. The measure is placed directly on the Senate Calendar of Business.
All of this is on Thune and Trump has to go after him, and McConnell.

It’s a voter ID bill that will block a U.S. citizen from voting if all they have for ID is an ordinary drivers license. It’s a suppression bill. It should die.
