They reported that Nelson Mandela campaigned on voter id. It is of a third world dictatorship country to NOT have voter id.

I like everything except same day voting. Although it's extremely important to vote, if you don't early vote, you're in line for forever.
In line for forever = loss of productivity for companies
I've been early voting for the past 5-6 years and it's so much easier. One thing I would add however is mail in ballot option unless they are able to INDEPENDENTLY verify that ballot goes with that specific person + signature match; otherwise, reject it.

People have been sold the idea that voting is supposed to be convenient.
Security is paramount over convenience. Voting early gives the programmers an indication of how much they need to manipulate the machines to cheat on Election Day.
With low turnout in most elections, the only elections where you might have to stand in line is the Federal elections and we should make that a holiday.
