Should be more of a testament to louisiana baseball rather than an indictment of LSUs team.

That’s a great point. Louisiana baseball is really good. There are more great Louisiana prospects than LSU can take. It makes the rest of the LA college programs better.

We go through this same type discussion on the board every year.
Baseball is not football. It’s legitimately possible for any team to beat any other on a given day. Losing to small schools, especially early on in the season, is not something to be concerned about. Really losing any mid-week game shouldn’t be a concern unless it’s habitual.

#1, #2, #4, and #6 all lost yesterday to McNeese, San Diego State, Arkansas State, and Georgia State.
#6 Arkansas lost to Arkansas State 12-4, #4 Georgia Tech lost to Georgia State 9-4, and #1 UCLA lost to San Diego State 4-3.
It's baseball. It happens.

And before 2000 as well. LSU has lost to at least 1 Louisiana team in every season that they have won a national title. They lost to McNeese in 91, 93, and 2000

What’s everyone’s take on the Rev sharing for LSU baseball? Is there a reason for concern? Glenn Guillbeau posted on X saying that LSU may have a hard time holding on to Jay Johnson due to the limited amount of money and LSU not making baseball a priority like some SEC schools are.

McNeese is gonna win the midweek national championship at this rate
