This is an absolutely insane and evil thing. The government killing you is the 5th leading cause of death in Canada.

The government shouldn’t and doesn’t have the right to kill its own people. You’re also weirdly not acknowledging the many stories of them doing it to people in the their 20s for things like depression and anxiety.
Also why are 95% of them white? Seems like some great replacement acceleration

The nice rules they have in the brochures for suckers like you and the way that the system actually works are two different things.
In March of 2027, just mental illness will be enough qualification for government euthanasia. Right now you need a comorbid condition. Like blindness in one eye and type 2 diabetes.
There’s even a “Track 2” of Maid for patients whose death is not imminent. And that’s the track Kiano Vafaeian took.

The Netherlands will kill you as a child if you’re too expensive and your “quality of life” is low.
Sometimes the doctor just decides that you kinda want to end your life but you haven’t articulated it and that’s ok with them. That happens roughly 500 times a year.
Now someone will pop into the thread and say it doesn’t happen so that they feel better about the government offing people.

It’s never been allowed. The “temporary exclusion” refers to an extension of the original sunsetting. And it will probably be extended further

I think 20s is far too young, unless the illness is terminal or there’s little quality of life to be had. Quadriplegics, the blind, etc should be allowed to end their life if they so choose. I would also add chronic, treatment resistant depression to that list too. As someone who has had life long clinical depression, I have nothing but understanding and sympathy for someone not wanting to continue on living in constant misery.

If you think about Canada then think about this program it is so them.
It’s definitely a faster solution to long wait times to see physicians, although they are substandard compared to what we are used to.

There has been open admittance they are overbooked on hospice care and short of organs for transplants and as such are diverting older patients who first choose hospice to this
