Any ideas on what may be causing this and how to fix it? Face angle is pretty square though.

Ball too far back in stance or perhaps backstroke too inside?

I have the ball pretty far forward in my stance, so I don't think it's that.

Muscle memory. Get a path assist training aid , path is what the muscles and mind make it. Feel feel feel.

I was doing this with my first putter. Old guy I was playing with said move it up a hairpin stance.
That worked and also just for me it was switching from blade to mallet.

To a certain extent I feel like I am not "releasing" the putter after impact. What would prevent me from doing that? Would looking up to see where the ball goes influence this?

Where is the point where the shaft enters the club head? I have to put that just before center stance. It literally has the ball on my front toe with a DF3. It was substantially forward to an uncomfortable point at first. Just wasn't what I was used to seeing. If I don't focus on that, I will without a doubt push putts. It took a lot of putts on my mat at home to realize just how far it was for me to not push, while not going to far to start pulling. Then it took 100+ for that to become my new norm. Not sure how long you've used this putter.

Do you press your hands forward before taking the putter back? even the slightest bit will open the face.

That's the thing. The face stays relatively square. It is my path that skews to the right

"Relatively"...it doesn't take much to send a putt off lie.

Would say it is always within +/- 1 degree

how are you measuring this?

do you know if you're left or right eye dominant?

Head tilts can change path.

I have the Exputt simulator that tracks putter head path and face angle.

I’d try changing head tilts and spine angle a little bit to see what effect it has on your path numbers. Also be sure that your lower body isn’t doing anything funky

Probably not your issue, but I couldn't make a 3 footer with the Spider ZT putter.

I don't know why that was unless the offset made me push it.

Hope you get it figured out.

Do you stand too far from the ball? When I start noticing bad putting rounds my miss is usually a push. My fix is usually overcompensating to crowd the ball with high hands and getting the putter toe flat to the ground. I putt much better with a straight path vs. in to out and closing the putter face.

Open your body 4-6 degrees and it'll be on line.
