What is everyone seeing in the truck market? Any good deals to be had? I am not biased towards a particular brand (except perhaps no Honda). Looking for the best deal.

Thinking the standard: a Titan, Tundra, Silverado, F150, Ram….one of those kinds.

Really nice rebates right now on GMC Sierra 1500. If in baton rouge, go to Royal GMC's website.

Trucks aren’t the craze anymore. Go get a Lexus LC Coupe 500. It’s a much nicer vehicle and will definitely impress the ladies

Prepare thy anus.

Mine is 9 years old but I'm going to keep it awhile longer. One thing I've noticed is that I can find a 1 yr old one with 15-20k on it on CarGurus for 10k cheaper than a new one. I'll probably go that route when the time comes.

10k off an $80k truck for 1.5 years of wear really isn’t a great deal

The ones I was looking at definitely aren't 80k. Low 50s new, low 40s lightly used.

My ram 1500 made it 19k miles before I had to trade it. Bought brand new last spring. Went into shop twice. 2 fuel pumps. Check engine light came on again and it was sputtering. New fuel pump number 3 was coming. Jumped ship to gmc sierra. So far so good but haven’t made it to oil change yet.

Do you really need a truck?

What do you haul?

My advice is a pre 2020 Tundra base model ‘work truck’. Should come in around $24k for one with less than 100k miles. That’s the smaller V8 and not 4x4 because you prob don’t NEED 4x4. Mine has 245,000 miles and zero issues.

Swallow your pride and buy something you can pay cash for and afford. Carry minimum liability insurance and don’t drive like an a-hole. Keep it forever, save money. This is how people become wealthy.

Lol at those overpaying for brand new trucks, paying full coverage insurance, warranty, and sitting in a chair at the shop like a dumb arse. I’ve never once had to bring my Tundra in.

My 1999 F250 is just fine and I won’t be parting with it ever

Not everyone has brand loyalty. I've had a GMC Sierra, F150, 2 Rams, a Nissan. They were all fine to me for light duty, half-ton trucks.

You'll get bigger discounts on a ford or dodge, but you need to be starting at 20K off invoice for XLT or above trim.

I work in the business. Do not buy anything new. They all suck!

Buy a 2021 or older Tundra with less than 100k miles. Those are the ones that are still holding their value and they are bullet proof.

If you want a warranty, buy from a dealer and negotiate the price of that into the purchase.

Unless you get the 6.6L, I agree with this statement!

If you're thinking of anything other than a 2021
Tundra you're thinking too much.
