Tinkering Jay doing his thing. He usually does this at the beginning of the season, especially if he wants to see what a player can do at a certain position that might not be his primary position.

I saw him in the dugout earlier in uniform and looked fine. I think Jay knows what he's got with him so he's letting some younger guys get some time today. He'll get most of the reps but I wouldn't be surprised if he sits against some early season scrubs and midweek opponents.

JJ is taking a look at as many players as possible., He knows what he has in the starting 9.

Jay will play the best player and combination of players he needs to win. I’m grateful to Stanfield for everything he brings to the program from a leadership and character standpoint. Only 9 players can play at a time.
