Pre Workout Breakfast Suggestions

I get up around 3am and make it to the gym by 4. I usually eat a banana or a bowl of oatmeal because its quick and easy. I drink a protein shake as soon as I get back from the gym and eat a couple of boiled eggs when I get to work. Getting burned out on bananas and oatmeal, any suggestions for a pre workout that's simple? TIA

Rice cakes with honey or sourdough with honey is something that's not heavy on the stomach and easily digestible. Could add a more voluminous meal post-workout

Thanks. I forget about rice cakes and I usually eat yogurt during the day as a snack, but I could substitute that for something else.

My wife and I rotate who gets to go before work.
When its my turn, I'm usually up at 3:30 and at the gym between 4-4:15 similar to you.
I usually do cream of rice (its a little more quick acting than oatmeal) two servings of a chocolate flavored protein powder and a half serving of peanut butter.

Meal prep and you can eat whatever you want without worrying about time

I meal prep for lunch and I'm open to doing it for breakfast. Just not sure what.

What kind of workouts are you doing? Obviously you wouldn't want to throw down an egg and ground beef burrito if you're running but it's not a huge deal if it's an hour before lifting some weights. Add a potato, rice, orange juice for carbs
