Just seems crazy how often this happens. Looks like it happened while trying to refuel

Let’s see who is at the helm.

At least it wasn’t:

“Oh hey what is that metal thing in the ocean? Should we slow down?”

Having been a part of many of these, it was either an 18 year old right out of bootcamp trying it out with someone over his shoulder, or a 23yr old LTJG fresh out of College this past semester...

Also, if you have never been a part of or at least seen this in action its actually a pretty marvelous dance of two monsters and is a prime example of the Venturi effect

Could be the mostly frightening scenario a combination of the two: the Asian female Captain.

They can’t properly operate their Infiniti SUVs on public roads, much less a ship at sea.

Don't start looking into how many US solders were killed in Saudi Arabia in the lead up to Operation Desert Shield. Before any combat operations even began.

You could put one in a completely empty Walmart parking lot and they'd somehow hit the cart corral.

Legit my first thought when I saw that pic so I posted that one instead of a more professional one.

However, that captain and vessel won an award last year for their successes and leadership

Happened during an UNREP. My first guess would be someone driving fricked up.

Well it only takes one bad boat driver to wreck two boats. Lets see a pic of the other one so we can properly stereotype everyone. The guy posted passes the eye test. He at least looks old and normal enough.

Just to clear up another misconception here, the Captain of a DDG (usually a Commander) probably hasn't touched the wheel (yes, there is still a literal wheel) in a decade...

Also, contrary to popular belief, an Engineer in the Navy is usually nowhere near the most book-smart person in the room and has nothing to do with a school like LSU, but could usually make MacGyver proud
