Here’s what people can’t seem to grasp about pelicans Law, what can go wrong will go wrong. If we didn’t trade that pick we would either have a decent record or we would end up with a bust.

The day after we traded Indy’s pick back to them Halliburton ruptured his Achilles. If we’d kept the pick his Achilles would have been just fine and they’d be atop the East right now. Pelicans Law

The pelicans won the lottery for the most hyped player since Lebron James, the guy impact on winning is non-existent. Just embrace the suck and move on

Sometimes you make your own luck. When you make stupid decisions, stupid results follow. Absolutely no reason to trade the Pacers pick until right before the draft.

You’re still in the denial phase, I was you a year ago. The next step is acceptance, it’ll be hard at first but it will get easier throughout. I’m praying for you Brudda

Halliburton could have just as easily torn his Achilles in practice or working out right after the draft. It was a freak injury.

It is the same thing with Murray. The trade looked solid. Murray was excited to come to the Pels and then he has a freak Achilles injury.

It was such a freak accident, you had several posters on here saying how stupid a trade it was because it was a real possibility b/c it was already injured and he was playing through it. It was the finals. And of course it popped.

Some of you don’t get it. Pacers knew it was a good chance it could happen, why you think they pushed the trade through then and there.

That pick becomes immensely more valuable once he went down. Dumars got duped b/c he’s an idiot.

There was 0 rush to trade it, that's the part I still don't quite get why it was done before season is over.

There's a real possibility, you could have just used that pick as the negotiating piece for the Atlanta lotto pick (that net queen) and not your own.

There was a rush on the Pacers part. B/c it was a real possibility of the injury. Dumars dumass fell for it. Trades like that never get completed that early.

Wrong. It was not a freak accident and nothing like Murray. There was already an indicator and many here knew it was a real possibility before it happened. He was advised not to play but said it was worth the risk for a championship. How many teams would have made that trade then rather than waiting for a couple more games for the season to end? Only 1 would have done it. The one with the most incompetent front office in sports.

I’m happy with Queen. I think he will be an all star in a year or two. Now can we find a coach who can develop anybody and put these young bucks together??
