Louisiana amateur championship qualifying

Does anyone have an estimate of what score it took in the past to make it through a qualifier into the field for the Louisiana amateur championship in past years?
Qualifying at English Turn and then playing in the tournament at Metairie would be convenient for me.

It all depends on how many entrants there will be. Since it’s in Nola and the qualifier is also in Nola that usually means that site will have more participants than say the Lake Charles qualifier or North LA qualifier. My prediction would be in the 78 to 81 range depending on the conditions for the day.

I'd be interested, but I don't even know how to practice for the damn thing with Bayou Oaks range being closed and Chateau recently closing their range to the Public.

Played at the English Turn qualifier a couple of years ago when the state am was at TPC. Pretty sure 78 got through, 79 made a playoff.

I would say 78 is generally pretty safe but it depends on the size of the field at the qualifier and how many spots are available
I played in the qualifier at Beau Chene last year and there were roughly 55-60 players for 30 spots. I think 83 or 84 qualified. Beau Chene can be tough for some since there is OB down both sides of almost every hole

Go play at Ellendale it’s easy and I think 82 and under got in last year, just don’t shoot 100 in the State Am when you get there

Just have to break 80

Took me a couple of years to qualify for the Mid Am. Tried the old Mallard Cove, nope. Then tried Squirrel Run, nope. Talked to my cousin who has played and qualified for many, and he said go to the ones with the biggest field of qualifiers. So, I did and qualified twice at the Bluffs. 79 and 81 got me in twice. I'm sure the Am will be a little lower.

Bayou oaks should be open in March or April I think? Whenever the reno is done, but yeah I'm trying to get sub 8 right now so I can enter. Not having the range is brutal true. I might look into TPC for now but its such a hike.
