What's the verdict on hybrids? Looking at a couple of mattresses that have a hybrid option.

Anyone tried the tempurpedic cloud or adapt?

Don't want to fool with the Costco/Sam's when you can't try them out at store. Don't want to deal with returns if I don't like it.

i bought a King pillow top off of amazon for less than $300. Firm mattress, loved it so much bought another one for the other room.. i could probably sleep on anything, but for the price these are awesome. i know you can spend $$$$$ because i did the shopping around. i couldn't tell the difference from one or another.

I've worn this one out. Loved it for years but its now attacking me. Time to get a new one. Would rather shop for cars.

We doubt one of the fancy ones with evaluating bed frame, etc. Just short of $7k. Not near worth it.

Why don't you update the title to not just be about hybrids. If they aren’t great, what are recommendations from those that fairly recently bought.

Im in the market too

Edit: Sorry, I meant update title to be targeted towards is hybrid the way to go? If not, then what

I have a hybrid mattress. I like it. I had it made locally in Baton Rouge. Forget the old man's name that made it --- but it's been solid (about 5 years old) and I paid considerably less than I would for it in a big box retail store.

I truly enjoy getting into my bed at night. Buy you some great pillows. I highly recommend Chamberlain down pillows. Pricey, but so comfortable.

I bought the only king sized ultra plush mattress on the Mattress Firm website sight unseen several months ago.

It's been great.

I know you said you didn't want to deal with Costco, but I got a split king sleep science with adjustable base. You can flip the mattress to choose between 2 firmness options. Been great.

I've actually been looking at a Saatva mattress. Me and the Mrs (no pics) have had sports injuries that are accentuated by our growing age. They're pricy so we're pretty much at the stage of going for either a hybrid for life or a series of cheaper mattresses every few years.

I've bought a handful of mattresses from Amazon for less than $300 and I can't tell the difference from the $1k ones I've bought locally.

We are about 2 months in on a Tempurpedic LuxeBreeze Hybrid medium. We bought an adjustable frame to go with it. We also added some Tempurpedic pillows.

It took me about a week to get used to it. My wife and I both think it’s one of the best purchases we’ve made in the last few years. I’m no longer waking up with lower back pain.
