Watch him go to the rams or eagles or something ridiculous.

Need to figure out what guys he has good relationships with. That guy plays so damn hard and has already made so much money I imagine he’s going to be a vet actually looking to go to the biggest contender he can go to.

He and cam Jordan spend time together in summer camps...

But he'd easily cost a 1st or 2...

I honestly don’t think a 1 is out of the question, salary cap wise either given we have a window.

I would absolutely do it for a 2

Here’s my package:

2.42 2026
1 2027
Carr
maybe a Ruiz

Trade down to 12 with Dallas for the GB first rounder next year (200 point differential = 2nd rounder but Dallas doesn’t own a 2nd this year, so they need to pony up some future capital)

Parsons went for two 1’s and he’s 26
Crosby is 28

It’s the most realistic if we were to do it

ETA I might be underestimating the Carr leverage we have over any other competitors. Might allow us to do the 1st and 3rd instead of 42

I’d do a 1st and 3rd but not 2 first rounders.

Parsons also averages 14.4 sacks and 50 pressures per 17 vs Crosby at 10.7 and 41.

I won't knock Crosby's production, but he is very clearly a tier down from Parsons as a pass rusher, and being 2 years older and now in a situation where he "has to" get traded, his value shouldn't be equated to Parsons.

I still think they can get a 1st, but definitely not a high 1st, and maybe a 3rd. They are crazy if they think they can get more, and a team would be crazy to give more.

For what its worth they tried asking for 2 first earlier and got shot down.

They arent getting 2 first so we know what the ceiling is.

Raiders also need to keep the Brian Burns situation in mind. They waited too long and lost value. Think the rams offered 2 first

I didn’t think about the Burns trade, only a 2nd and 5th is kind of wild.

I do think if he’s telling Brady he won’t play for them it hurts the compensation they’ll be able to get

The other complicating factor is he had surgery on his meniscus in January and will be out 3-4 months. That timeline could push his trade date past FA or the draft

And really, you have a new HC and I doubt Klint wants to deal with a headache his first year in.

The only thing is he literally just signed his extension. Im not sure if they can realistically trade him right now. Id imagine 3 years for 106 million would be hard to move

That’s the easy part from the reports. It would free up $30 million and only 5 in dead money with the way his contract is structured

Cam already played half the snaps. Wants to stay a Saint on a non discount salary. Wouidht be in his best interest to recruit Crosby imo

Edit: just saw allegedly he doesn’t wanna go through a rebuild. Saints haven’t made playoffs in years and went 6-11….

Side note: It always bugs me when a knock on a 1st round draft prospect is that he is considered too old for being 24 or 25 y/o, yet veterans like Tyreek Hill (28), Micah Parsons (26), or potentially, a Maxx Crosby (28) can command a 1st Round pick & it's considered a no-brainer. Hell, Hill & Parsons each cost two 1st rd picks.

If a QB is drafted at 22 y/o, what's the long term vision? That he hopefully might play for your team for 15 years, right? But if he is drafted at 25 y/o, now you're hesitant to spend a 1st rd pick on him bc he might only play 12 years? Yet, teams will spend a 1st rounder (or more) without hesitation on a 28 y/o vet DE who maybe has 5 years of solid production left???
