Favorite restaurants:
Deno's Mountain Bistro
Hernando's Pizza Pub
Fontenot's Fresh Seafood & Grill, it's kind of Cajun, best you'll get 1500 miles from SoLa.
Rollin' Street Bakery for breakfast
Wake N' Bacon for breakfast / brunch
Moon Frog Coffee is a must stop, great drinks and staff.
Not a whole lot to do there beyond skiing and riding snowmobiles, I'd suggest an hour at the Coca-Cola Tubing Hill. Stop by the Visitor Center there in town, it's nice and they will get you up to date on things happening while you are there. Hope these help

Thanks...we will have a couple of teenagers that apparently want to do some shopping. May need to do that in Denver or Boulder.

Hernando's Pizza pub has really good pizza, and don't sleep on Fraser Valley Hot Dogs. These hot dogs were great for a quick lunch meal that was something different. You can put damn near anything imaginable on the hot dog. Deno's is good also as mentioned.
If you head to Granby, Brickhouse 40 was also pretty good.
Hot sulfur springs Resort was a pretty neat trip, where you can go soak in natural sulfur spring pools for a few hours. It was about a 45-minute drive.

the best meal I've had there (in summertime admittedly) was at Fraser Valley Distillery. Good food and good atmosphere. Once again, this was during the summer, though.

Another vote for Hernandos. We like the Ditch as well.

Hernando’s without fail; crusts with honey
Casa Mexico in Cooper Square
Fraser Tubing Hill; throwback alternative to the newer Coca-Cola Hill

Stoney's is the best sports bar in Winter Park.
